Nintendo Switch Pro won’t be coming in the next few months

But Nintendo is grappling with an ongoing global chip issue. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that the Switch Pro will be on the market in the next few months.
According to a new report by Nikkie, the video game giant is struggling to procure the products necessary to manufacture the consoles. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa made a statement on the subject. “Normally, we stock up during the summer to prepare for the peak year-end sales season.”
At the same time, Furukawa mentioned that for now, they are not sure that they will be able to obtain the necessary production components. According to reports, it seems unlikely that Nintendo will announce any new models until the end of the fiscal year. Instead, the gaming giant will try to do its best with the current hardware to achieve its goal.
In his statement, Furukawa also stated that he is not optimistic that he can sell all of them even if he produces. For this reason, global semiconductor supply problems bring disruptions in the industry.
However, Nintendo Switch hardware sales also fell compared to last year. To raise these numbers, a Switch Pro console may be just what’s needed. However, that will have to wait a little longer.
