The wait will continue for Galaxy Ring
For those who don’t know, the Galaxy S24 launch date of January 2024 was previously pointed out for the Galaxy Ring. Today, Korean publication The Elec reported that the smart ring has now been postponed to the third quarter of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025. The reason for this is that it is still in the early design stage. So much so that the Korean source claims that Galaxy Ring already supports multiple features but is too big to be commercialized.
Therefore, Samsung will need to reduce the size of the device to a more compact level while maintaining these features. Therefore, the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 has been pointed out.
As far as reported, Galaxy Ring is currently designed in four different sizes. It will also carry the health-oriented features seen in the Galaxy Watch series and leave most of the smart watch features behind. (It is not yet clear whether the device will have a screen). Among these, we may encounter more capable sensors, as well as features such as sleep, heart rate and exercise tracking.
We should point out that Galaxy Ring has not been confirmed by Samsung yet. Therefore, we will have to wait a while longer for all the details.
