A new malware family has been discovered by cybersecurity researchers, and this new family targets Linux systems directly. According to researchers, this new malware not only collects credentials, but also opens the door to remote access.
The malware family detected by FontOnLake is said to hide inside standard Linux utilities, including cat, kill, and sshd. While it is stated that the attackers are currently pursuing targets based in Southeast Asia, it is underlined that Linux users should protect their systems and use good antivirus software.
