With the release of the new generation Ryzen 7000 processors last year, AMD also made a platform change. AMD, which makes AM5 socket motherboards mandatory instead of AM4 for new generation processors, said that now their prices will be cheaper.

AM5 B650 motherboards will become cheaper

As with any new technology, Ryzen 7000 processors, new motherboards with AM5 sockets and the necessity of DDR5 RAM that come with them did not come cheap for consumers. But it looks like things will start to change. According to AMD, AM5 will become the standard in the future. However, the company has already announced that the manufacturing partners are preparing to launch the new B650 motherboard series at a more affordable price.

This statement of AMD may be related to the promises it has made before. Because when the B650E and B650 motherboards took the stage, they were well above the promised $125 price tag. Additionally, AMD expects inexpensive B650 motherboards to include full overclocking support and arrive in the first quarter of 2023.

Alongside the affordable B650 series motherboards, the A620 series entry-level AM5 motherboards will also enter the market. These seem to be a nice option for 65W Ryzen 7000 series processors. Along with these, AMD confirmed a while ago that it purposely kept product prices high in the third and fourth quarters of 2022.
