Azuki NFT prices are 65% lower than last month
Prices for Azuki NFTs have dropped 65 percent since Elementals launched in June, according to data from Nansen. On June 26, the day before Elementals’ controversial fall, Azuki prices were around 15 ETH, while in the following month, the base price dropped to 5 ETH as of July 27. During the same period, Azuki’s trade volume also decreased by 78 percent.
Azuki launched a new NFT collection called Elementals on June 27 and released 10,000 anime-inspired avatars from the air and distributed them to existing Azuki owners. 10,000 more were originally planned for sale, but the collection sold out before the public had a chance to purchase NFTs. This is the highest trading volume for the collectible since May 2022, with $51 million in sales as a result of the Elementals drop, despite Azuki’s acknowledgment of missteps in its launch.
