Twitter (X), which Elon Musk started to transform into a part of his dream super application X in July, will soon host a feature that will enable many accounts to become ‘real users’. The platform will now ask for authentication of some accounts.

The new feature was shared by “@nima_owji”, who made a name for himself by pre-posting features coming to apps in X. The first screenshot of the authentication window also came.

Authentication comes to X:

Authentication to X will be carried out with physical identities and photographs to be taken to verify the person with this identity. Users will agree to provide X with their identification information, biometric data and personal information during the verification process. X will get its authentication service from “Au10tix”.

It is not yet known for which users the feature will be mandatory. However, another detail discovered was that the authenticated accounts will also have a new identifier in the window that appears when the blue tick badge is clicked on:

“This account has been authenticated.”

May be mandatory for X Premium subscribers only!

According to the information shared by Nima Owji, the authentication method will be mandatory for X Premium subscribers to benefit from Premium features. However, we will only receive clear information through an announcement by X.
