As we have conveyed to you, scientists announced that a big solar storm was approaching our planet with the statements they made in the past days. Experts added that the magnetic particles released from the upper atmosphere of the Sun, known as CME, that cause powerful solar storms, are approaching the Earth.
In the statements made, it was stated that two CMEs ejected from the Sun on March 28 could reach the Earth within this week, and as a result, it was noted that it could cause some electrical and telecommunication problems on our planet. In addition, it was stated that this situation may cause the northern lights (aurora) to be seen more intensely and widely, which creates magnificent images as a result of the interaction of the charged particles coming to our planet from the Sun with the gases in the atmosphere.
The northern lights were observed due to the storm
Now the news has revealed that the northern lights formed as a result of the storm are seen in many different regions on Earth. Photographer Jenny Hagen and many other people in Canada managed to take pictures of these dazzling lights. “The sky offers us a lot to see from tiny spaces on Earth at night,” Hagen told Space.com.
Also outside Canada, people from the northern US and New Zealand captured stunning images of the northern lights from recent solar flares. We have compiled these fascinating images for you. Let’s see what the sky looks like together.
