German automaker Audi is developing a new virtual reality (VR) application called Holoride that backseat passengers can use while traveling. Audi is preparing to offer Holoride’s virtual reality technology to its customers in some models.
Audi, which plans to transform its cars into a metaverse platform from the coming months, thanks to this new feature, rear seat passengers will be able to benefit from VR applications during travel.
The virtual reality feature will reportedly be available in production cars this summer, starting with Audi sedans and SUVs.
Thanks to an application with a new technology that adapts to the driving movements of the vehicle in real time, for example, a passenger watching a spaceship with VR glasses during the vehicle’s cornering turns, the spaceship in the imaginary world turns in the same direction, with the acceleration of the vehicle, the spaceship also turns in the same direction. You can see it speeding up.
