German automaker Audi is currently selling a 2.5-liter RS3 model in Europe that produces 400 horsepower. While the vehicle is sold to produce 400 horsepower in order to keep up with European norms, it is sold as 406 horsepower in the United States. In addition to these 2 models, a more muscular and powerful version of the RS3 Performance Edition is also sold. But Audi must find these forces insufficient. Because the latest statement points to a more powerful RS3 model. Here are the details…
The new RS3 will be more muscular and stronger than before!
Audi Sport boss Sebastian Grams, responsible for Audi’s sports cars, talked about a more powerful RS3 model in an interview. In the interview, he pointed out that a much more powerful RS3 model will be introduced in the coming days. He stated that thanks to the new model, they will take the already used 5-cylinder engine one step further.
It has been reported that no electrical support will be received while strengthening the new model. As you may recall, sister brand Lamborghini from the VAG Group family is switching to electric support in many of its cars, including its new flagship model Revuelto. Audi in the VAG Family, on the other hand, will not switch to such an application for the RS3 for now.
Looking at the 2.5-liter TFSI engine currently used, we have to say that it looks promising. The brand’s 2.5 TFSI engine can produce 500 horsepower without any structural changes. That means a serious increase of 100 horsepower for the RS3 model. However, there is no certainty about whether Audi will increase 100 horsepower for the RS3. It is only in the near future that we will see a more powerful RS3 model.
