New security vulnerability discovered in Nvidia graphics cards
According to the shared information, the vulnerability in question allows attackers to gain full access to user systems. This poses significant risks such as personal data being read and stolen. Moreover, it is stated that apart from GeForce GPUs, NVIDIA RTX, Quadro, NVS and Tesla series are also affected by these vulnerabilities.
Nvidia did not provide a list of affected models or whether the vulnerabilities were already exploited. However, it recommends that users install drivers 566.03 for Windows, 565.57.01, 550.127.05 and 535.216.01 for Linux, and 566.03, 553.24 and 538.95 for RTX, Quadro and NVS graphics cards.
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability that could allow a privileged attacker to elevate permissions. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering.
