At IFA, Europe’s largest consumer electronics fair, ASUS introduced the new PC developed by ASUS engineers as a one-of-a-kind. As the world’s first 17.3-inch foldable OLED laptop, Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) challenges traditional computers.
Offering a large 17.3-inch screen for multitasking in normal use, it folds neatly when traveling to become an ultra-compact 12.5-inch laptop. ScreenXpert 2 software developed by the company is used to easily divide the screen and organize the contents.
Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED features
The foldable computer, which offers two OLED screens in one device, has Intel Evo certification. Having passed the endurance test, 17 Folds can withstand more than 30,000 opening and closing cycles. When fully closed with a 180-degree hinge, it transforms from a copy paper into a compact and portable form.

It also offers versatile usage modes in different options such as laptop (with Bluetooth keyboard), laptop (with virtual keyboard), tablet and reader. Despite its versatility and large screen size, the device weighs 1.8 kg with the keyboard and only 1.5 kg without it.
With its 17.3 inch and 2.5K foldable OLED touch screen with 60 Hz screen refresh rate and 0.2 ms response time, the computer is also assertive in sound and image, Dolby Vision and PANTONE approved screen for HDR visuals, cinema-class 100 percent DCI for vivid colors. It has P3 color gamut.
It does not tire the eyes by emitting low blue light emissions with TÜV Rheinland certification. The Harman Kardon-certified four-speaker Dolby Atmos sound system is driven by an intelligent amplifier that delivers crystal-clear sound, up to 3.5 times louder than a standard amplifier that maximizes sound.
The device has an HD infrared (IR) camera that works with ASUS AdaptiveLock and the new Intel Visual Sensing Controller chip to enable AI-powered features. This feature, in addition to logging in with the face recognition system, can also detect when the user is away from the computer.
In such cases, the device automatically locks for ultimate security by dimming the screen to save battery life. As soon as the user returns, he can automatically log in with fast face input by lighting up the screen.
5 MP AI webcam, ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology for clear video calls are among the other features of Zenbook. In 3D, the new generation 3D-DNR feature, which reduces the noise in the picture, creates a high-level signal / noise balance, creating perfect images. In this way, it enables the system to record for up to 70% longer.
Physical keyboard now optional
The 17 Fold’s keyboard, on the other hand, can optionally be used as a digital keyboard or as a physical keyboard by positioning it outside the device. Designed to offer the ultimate user experience, the bluetooth-enabled keyboard has a full-size 19.05mm key spacing and 1.4mm long key travel.
Announced as the best laptop keyboard ever designed by ASUS, it offers vastly improved typing accuracy and comfort. The keyboard also includes a large ErgoSense touchpad with a silky smooth surface protected by an anti-fingerprint coating.
