Standing out at the CES 2023 event, Asus showcases its new products in almost its entire product range. In this context, Asus has announced a series of new gaming laptops from the popular TUF series. Under the TUF brand, the company introduced TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition, Gaming F15/17 and A15/17 models with up-to-date hardware.TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition (FA617) features
Asus uses new Ryzen 9 processors based on AMD’s Zen 4 architecture in its 2023 model TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition (FA617) laptop. Besides this processor, AMD’s new generation Radeon RDNA 3 GPUs are also used.
The top configuration of TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition 2023 uses 8 cores and 16 threads AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS processor and AMD Radeon RX 7700S 8GB duo. To ensure thermal success, Asus states that it uses 84 bladed Arc Flow fans and cooling pipes. On the screen side, a 16-inch QHD+ 16:10 IPS panel is used. The response time of this screen is at the level of 3ms, while the refresh rate is at the level of 240 Hz.The memory capacity of the device, which comes with 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM, can be increased up to 32GB, while there is a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD on the storage side. Colored with Sandstorm paint that adds a military look, TUF Gaming A16 AE comes with a large 90Whr battery, one HDM 2.1, two USB 3.2 gen 1, one USB 3.2 gen 2, one Type C USB 4 and DP ports. The product, which comes with a backlit keyboard, has Dobly Atmos support and Wi-fi 6. The weight of the product is 2.20 kg and the price is 1.445 dollars. The release date is not clear, but it will be out in the first quarter.
Asus TUF Gaming F15/17 and A15/17
Besides the TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition, Asus introduced four new models. These are TUG Gaming F15/F17 and TUF Gaming A15/A17.
The F15 and F17 are equipped with processors up to Intel Core i9-13900H, while TUF Gaming A15/A17 includes AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processors. Both A and F series gaming laptops will be combined with Nvidia’s latest RTX 40 series graphics cards.
In these models with Nvidia Advanced Optimus support, the advantage of the DLSS 3.0 technology of the new RTX 40 cards will be very important and the performance will be increased without losing up to 30 percent of image quality in compatible games.
As the names suggest, TUF Gaming F15/17 will come with 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screens, respectively. Core i9-13900H will be used in both products, but in F15 we will see the RTX 4070 in the top configuration, while in the F17 we will see the RTX 4060. On the panel side, there will be WQHD IPS 240 Hz G-Sync compatible panels. On the TUF Gaming A15/A17 side, there will be the Ryzen 9 7940HS and RTX 4070′ duo. TUF Gaming A15 only offers a Full HD 165 Hz IPS display, while TUF Gaming A17 will feature a WQHD IPS 240 panel. There is no price and release information about these products, but we can expect them to be available in the first quarter.
