The mobile gaming industry is one of the growing stars of recent years, and this causes us to see models specially designed for games on mobile phones as well. The newly introduced ASUS ROG Phone 7 series is also a smartphone series specially designed for mobile gamers.
ASUS ROG Phone 7 series consists of two models: ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Pro
ROG Phone 7, Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset promises strong performance. In addition, its 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, 144 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 + support make games look more vivid and fluent. Its 6000 mAh battery provides enough power for long gaming sessions. In addition, ROG Phone 7’s fast charging feature ensures that the battery is charged in a short time.
ROG Phone 7 Pro, on the other hand, includes all the features of ROG Phone 7 and more. The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset means the phone will run smoothly even the most intense games. ROG Phone 7 Pro’s AMOLED display measures 6.78 inches, offers 144 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and 1200 nits brightness.
AeroActive Cooler 7The ROG Phone 7 series has three ways to cool the phone for more and longer gaming sessions. First, the Boron Nitride (BN) thermal compound on one side of the CPU reduces heating for short sessions. Second, cooling is taken care of by the larger vapor chamber and graphite sheets on the other side of the CPU. Finally, there’s the external AeroActive Cooler 7, whose fan is placed directly above the phone, for very long gaming sessions.
Both models feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera and a 32MP front sensor.
The Ultimate version has some extra features, including two side game buttons for horizontal gaming sessions. AirTrigger ultrasonic controls give you more control over your games for a console-like experience.
On the back of the Ultimate model is also a small 2-inch screen that can show various functions with animations, including charging the phone while playing games and more. Users can even create their own animations for the screen.
If you live in Asia or Europe, you can pre-order the ROG Phone 7 models now. ASUS store says deliveries will take place before the end of April. In Europe, the price of the base model starts at €999.99. The price of the Ultimate version is 1,199 Euros.
