Asus has announced the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, 2 phones it has developed specifically for the gaming-focused Republic of Gamers smartphone series. The phones, especially developed for gamers who love to play and equipped with the appropriate features, have really powerful features.
Both phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and come with up to 512GB of storage. Equipped with a 6.78-inch OLED display, the same size as the previous ROG Phone 5S, the phones show significant improvement over the last model with 165Hz screen refresh rates and 720Hz touch sampling rates. While the phones’ batteries are the same with 6000 mAh capacity, they host a triple camera setup on the back.
ROG Phone 6, black and white ; ROG Phone 6, on the other hand, will only be available in white, while the biggest difference between the 2 models is the 2nd OLED display on the back of the 6 Pro. Again, the amount of RAM is higher in the Pro model: Full 18 GB. ROG Phone 6, on the other hand, has 8GB, 12GB and 16GB RAM options.
Although Asus seems to have created a game-only phone, it has worked to make both models look like a phone that can be used daily. The company is gradually improving the design of the ROG Phone so that the models don’t scream “gaming phone” by its looks. However, when you look at its internal structure, it is of course a gaming phone. Announcing that it includes “unique 360-degree CPU cooling technology” in its content, Asus has expanded the steam room inside the phones by 30 percent. Thus, it is aimed to provide higher performance.
Frankly, the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro—especially the 6 Pro with the screen on the back—have been really remarkable looking and powerful models. We do not know if the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro, which will be sold in the UK and Europe, will come to our country. However, if it does, the price is sure to be quite high. Overseas prices are as follows: ROG Phone 6 – 999 Euros, ROG Phone 6 Pro – 1299 Euros.
