Asus exhibited its new products as part of the CES 2023 fair. The Taiwanese manufacturer announced the ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition graphics card as a sign of cooperation with the famous cooling company Noctua. The board includes a pair of Noctua NF-A12x25 fans and heatsinks optimized for the airflow characteristics of the fans.
ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition specifications
To prioritize low noise level and high cooling performance, Asus expanded the overall volume of the graphics card to use 4.3 slots. The GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua Edition also features Dual BIOS with silent mode enabled by default to minimize noise.
As the fruit of the partnership with Noctua, a large steam chamber of eight heat pipes has been incorporated into the design of the RTX 4080. This change in design allows the graphics card to only reach 61.7 degrees Celsius when operating at a TDP (theoretical maximum amount of heat) of 320 watts.
ASUS pointed out that in addition to the impressive performance and low noise level of the graphics card, it should be used with a high-quality power supply to ensure optimum performance. GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua did not share a price or release date.
What does the GeForce RTX 4080 offer?
Nvidia has released the RTX 4080 in two different configurations. The RTX 4080 has 16GB, 9,728 CUDA cores and 16GB of high-speed Micron GDDR6X memory. The graphics card is designed to be 2x faster than the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with DLSS 3.
