We know that one of the most popular topics lately is internet NFTs. These digital assets, which emerged by processing the assets in the internet environment into the blockchain, found buyers for billions of dollars through certain platforms. It was also talked about that NFTs, in which many companies have invested, will play a big role in our lives, which are expected to be digitized in the coming years.

However, data has recently emerged showing that the popularity of NFTs has fallen. A study showed that sales of these assets have bottomed out, down 97% over the past nine months. While the discussions about NFTs were going on, now a move has come from another technology giant.

Asus built its own NFT platform

Taiwan-based computer and hardware manufacturer Asus has announced that it has launched a brand new NFT platform. It was stated that the platform, which is the first move of the technology giant on Web3, was named ‘Art Black Hole’.

Josh Hsieh, one of the company executives, also said, “As Asus, we closely follow the latest developments in the advancing industries. The potential of Web3 also affects us.” With this step, Asus became the last Taiwanese company to take a step in the metaverse and Web3. Apple supplier Foxconn has also previously announced that it is investing in the metaverse.

Art Black Hole was developed by Asus’ Web3 department called ‘Metaverse Inc’. The platform, powered by the company’s cloud and artificial intelligence technologies, was created for Ethereum-based NFTs. It is stated that the platform can be used by a number of NFT artists who have been invited before, while it is stated that users can trade via Taiwan dollar. Finally, the platform does not support secondary trading; however, it was reported that a new market will be introduced soon.
