Intel’s 13th-generation Raptor Lake architecture will support both 600-series and 700-series motherboards. Asus, one of the important names in the computer industry, announced that Raptor Lake support has been added to all Z690 motherboard models as the release of new processors is approaching.
It may come to sub-models soon.
Raptor Lake users will not need to upgrade to future 700 series motherboards, as the next generation processors only need a BIOS patch for compatibility. In addition, the new shared update was presented to users with the code name BIOS version 1603 for all Prime cards except Prime Z690-A, and BIOS version 1601 for Z690 ROG, ROG Strix, ProArt and TUF Gaming series.
In addition to the Z690 motherboards, it is not known when the new BIOS version will come to Asus’ other 600 series motherboards. But considering that Raptor Lake will be released in the third and fourth quarter of 2022, we can say that the company has a long time. Users who want to reach the new BIOS version can quickly check it here.
