CES 2022 fair continues at full speed. Many technology companies have already held their first events and introduced their products. But still, some famous brands are expected to take the stage. Asus, on the other hand, announced variations of the Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics cards newly introduced by AMD.
Asus unveils new RX 6000 series cards
ASUS has announced two new graphics cards, named Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT and TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT. Developed with the 6 nm manufacturing process and AMD RDNA 2 gaming architecture, these new devices are said to be developed for Full HD gaming experience in AAA class and e-sports games.
In graphics cards, we see that high-bandwidth and low-latency AMD Infinity Cache caches and high-speed 4GB GDDR6 memory are used. In addition, these new models come with support for Windows 11 and DirectX 12 Ultimate, as well as AMD Smart Access Memory and FidelityFX Super Resolution upscaling technology.
The Dual Radeon RX 6500 XT model shows that it is designed for use in small systems with its compact structure that occupies two slots in the case. In addition, we see that the device, which uses the Axis technology fan design developed by Asus, stands out with its 85W power consumption (TDP).
Thus, it consumes less power than the original 107W RX 6500 XT model. In addition, with the technologies developed by Asus, the graphics card can reduce the noise pollution to 0 dB by stopping the fan rotation in jobs that do not require high performance. But if the temperature exceeds 60 degrees, it turns on again.
TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6500 XT, on the other hand, has a relatively larger size with two Axis technology fans and 2.7 slots. For this reason, we can understand that it is aimed at people who are looking for a little more performance. But even when the fans aren’t running, the heatsink can stay at lower temperatures under the same workload as the original RX 6500 XT. It also offers a TDP of 90W instead of 107W, although the clock speeds are the same.
