Aston Martin has unveiled its performance SUV model, called DBX707, after official tips it has published for a while. The new model is the flagship of the Aston Martin DBX family.
More power and performance
The new 2022 Aston Martin DBX707 manages to get 697 horsepower from a specially tuned twin-turbo V8 engine. In addition, the new wet clutch transmission and chassis updates are of great importance in the performance of the vehicle. It is possible to say that the updates on the cosmetic side make the vehicle much more aggressive.
The AMG-sourced 4.0-liter V8 unit under the hood has been overhauled by Aston Martin engineers, resulting in impressive figures such as 697 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque. This means an increase of 155 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque over the stock DBX, which is also powered by the V8. It also makes the DBX707 more powerful than rivals such as Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga Speed.
3.2 s 0-100 km/h and 310 km/h top speed
As we mentioned above, the 2022 Aston Martin DBX707 is equipped with a new 9-speed wet clutch transmission. This provides faster gear changes compared to the DBX with torque converter transmission. The vehicle, which also includes an overhauled all-wheel drive system and limited slip differential, completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.2 seconds. Its top speed of 310 km/h puts the DBX707 ahead of its competitors.
On the chassis side, there are improvements over the standard DBX. Among these improvements, we can cite the adaptive three-bellows air suspension system, accompanied by a new shock absorber valve, recalibrated springs, steering system and electronic systems. Carbon ceramic discs measuring 420 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear and six-piston calipers are also responsible for the better functioning of the braking system.
aggressive design
In the DBX707, which comes with a larger grille and a larger front splitter surrounded by new air intakes and LED daytime running lights in its exterior design, details such as the fins on the side skirts, the rear spoiler and the F1 style diffuser that hosts the quad exhaust outlets also increase the aerodynamics. Glossy black details on the outside of the vehicle can also be preferred as carbon fiber. 22-inch wheels are standard in the vehicle, and 23-inch forged alloy wheels are offered as an option.
First customer deliveries of the new Aston Martin DBX707 are scheduled for the second quarter of 2022. The starting price is 232 thousand dollars for the US market.
