In September last year, Ubisoft announced that it would return Assassin’s Creed to its roots with the next game of the series. The company today announced the PC system requirements for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
According to the official blog post, a very powerful system will not be required to run Mirage. For 1440p at high settings, Ubisoft recommends at least an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. To run the game at 4K Ultra, GeForce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6900 XT is recommended.
In terms of graphics technologies, it will include ultra-wide monitor support, HDR and unlimited frame rates. One notable feature is XeSS Super Sampling, Intel’s AI-powered upscaling solution. Ubisoft has partnered with Intel for Mirage, so XeSS will be the only upgrade technology supported at launch.
Competing options like NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR are not mentioned, meaning the game does not support them. While DLSS and FSR may be added later, Ubisoft’s silence indicates that XeSS will be the only upgrade option for now.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set in 9th century Baghdad and returns to the stealth-focused roots of the previous series. In August, Ubisoft brought forward the release date for Mirage, and the game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 platforms on October 5.
