South Korea and Singapore-based crypto platform Haru Invest has stopped withdrawals and deposits until further notice. This move from the platform came as a shock to crypto investors.
Haru Invest Suspends Deposits and Withdrawals
Haru Invest, which carries out its services based in South Korea and Singapore, stated in its announcement today that it has suspended withdrawal and deposit transactions.
The Asian-based crypto platform did not give a clear date for when transactions will resume. The platform requested to wait until further notice.
Haru Invest stated that he recently had problems with one of the service partners he worked with and that he was investigating the details of this problem. The platform gave the message that they have moved to an emergency plan to fix the problem that has arisen.
The platform, which suspended withdrawals and deposits, attributed this move to user security. Haru Invest stated that they prioritize user security and therefore took a difficult decision.
Eunkwang Joo, the co-founder and former CTO of the platform, stated that he deserves the anger of its users and that he thinks this situation is not malicious. Joo stated that he is no longer an administrator on the platform and continues to operate as a user.
Also, it is said that Haru Invest’s social media accounts have been closed and this is a rug pull.
