Domestic defense industry company ASELSAN has made the new weapon system ready for duty. Shooting tests of the Göker 35 millimeter Multi-Purpose Weapon System were carried out. Operational tests and capability demonstration shots have been completed.
The Göker weapon system will be used in fixed facilities and land vehicles. Especially designed for use in border regions, Göker will neutralize land and air targets. It can be used against mini-UAVs and helicopters traveling at very low altitudes. It has a range of over 4 kilometers against air targets and over 5 kilometers against land targets.
Göker creates a holistic and cost-effective system solution thanks to its independent electro-optical surveillance system, remote command capability, stripless ammunition feeding mechanism and flexible sensor integration infrastructure.
