The largest Organized Industrial Zone, GEBKİM OSB, which hosts chemical companies, will benefit from technology to respond to accidents and fires early. GEBKİM OSB announced that it has commissioned the Emergency Response Software after 18 months of work.

In GEBKİM OIZ, artificial intelligence UAVs will fly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and notify public institutions such as fire department, AFAD, Health Units, National Poison Center in case of a possible danger. It will also warn the factory authorities through the mobile application.

The system was prepared in an autonomous structure. Artificial intelligence UAVs determine where to fly, they know which areas are more risky. It detects possible accidents and fires by itself.

Supported by the European Union

Accidents in chemical companies threaten not only the company itself, but also nearby residential areas. Therefore, the interest in the project is great. The Emergency Response Software project receives support from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the European Union.

Provided training on emergencies

In order for the system to work efficiently in the 18-month period from its installation to the activation process, all GEBKİM and participating company emergency teams were given basic first aid, emergency training, fire risk assessment, chemical spill and leakage, and fire response training on issues of great importance in the chemical industry. .

The individual and institutional capacities of employers and employees were increased as a result of the training given to approximately 2,000 people with the program consisting of 12 training titles and 3 seminars. Prior to the commissioning of the software, pilot trials and exercises of the system were carried out 3 times within the body of GEBKİM OSB.

Students were also included in the project. More than 400 students were given Disaster Awareness and Emergency Training at the GEBKİM Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Dilovası, which belongs to the GEBKİM Education, Research and Health Foundation.
