OpenAI’s artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT has managed to create enough impact to open a new page in the history of technology. After the chat bot, which is now integrated into many applications and platforms and offered to users, other technology giants rolled up their sleeves not to miss the fast moving train.
Google has released Bard, which it has been developing for years, and Meta has launched its own language model, LLaMA, for scientific studies. Although Meta briefly stated the reason for not making the language model available to everyone as ‘taking precautions’, today an important statement came from Mark Zuckerberg not only about the chatbot but also about productive artificial intelligence in general.
Artificial intelligence tools coming to Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared at the investor meeting that Meta sees the introduction of artificial intelligence bots to billions of people as an opportunity. Moreover, he explained that these bots will be on all Meta applications and platforms:
“We are also exploring chat experiences on WhatsApp and Messenger, rendering tools for posts and ads on Facebook and Instagram, and over time video and multimodal experiences.”
He also said that there is potential for artificial intelligence in the Metaverse:
“I expect these tools to be valuable to everyone, from ordinary people to creatives to businesses. When we complete this experience, I expect a great deal of attention to AI representatives for business messaging and customer support.
Over time, this will extend to our work on the metaverse, where people can more easily create avatars, objects, worlds, and code to connect them all.”
Zuckerberg has not yet made a statement about how and when these tools will be integrated into applications.
