Google’s Android maps application to add the artificial intelligence -backed Gemini feature has been revealed. Thanks to the new feature planned to be added, users will be able to get direct information by asking questions about a position.

It will be possible to get information with voice and written commands

The latest beta version of Google Maps (16.4.35) comes with the artificial intelligence assistant reinforcement called Gemini. When users select a position, a small opened window appears on the screen. In this window, the Google Maps contact on the selected position and an entrance area called ‘Ask Gemini’. Users can learn about the road definition or detailed information of the position by entering the query in this field.

Gemini responds to users’ written or voice commands. Users can get answers by pressing the Send button after writing their queries in the entrance area or saying via microphone. However, this feature is currently said that only the manual arrangements made in the APK document of Google Maps can be activated.

The feature is currently not open to all beta users. For now, this feature, which can only be accessed by manual intervention, is expected to be presented to a wider audience after the test process.
