According to job postings in Amazon’s careers section, the company has begun work to offer a chat-based experience by adding productive artificial intelligence features like ChatGPT and Google Bard to its shopping app and website.

Looking for new engineers

Job postings call for a senior development engineer for machine learning and engineers to “redesign” the search engine or feature within Amazon’s shopping app. One of the job postings reads: “We’re working to improve shopping on Amazon by using the speech capabilities of major language models. We’re looking for pioneers who are passionate about technology, innovation and customer experience, and ready to make a lasting impact on the industry.” statement is included.
