US-based technology giant Google announced its new technology Imagen, which pushes the limits of artificial intelligence. Imagen, which is used to convert a text into an image, enables the automatic creation of unique images thanks to this feature. All that is required to use Imagen is to write clear text.
Based on Google’s machine learning technique, Imagen enables a typed text to be converted into an image. In this way, you will be able to create an image of anything you imagine just by typing. However, Google has not made Imagen public for now. Therefore, it will be necessary to wait for a while to benefit from this unique technology.
Some photos created with Google Imagen
Above you see some examples created with Google Imagen. For example; For the first photo on the top left, the text reads: “A Corgi dog riding a bike in Times Square. The dog wears sunglasses and a hat.” The image created by entering this text, originally in English, is in perfect harmony with the description.
How does Imagen work?
Google Imagen’s website also explains how this artificial intelligence technology works. According to the statements made, the text entered by the user is analyzed first of all and coded with T5-XXL. The text embedded in the AI is first converted into a small image with a resolution of 64 x 64 pixels. Then this image grows and takes its final form.
We said that simple texts must be written in order to use Google Imagen. Above are some examples on the website prepared for artificial intelligence technology. When we look at these examples, we see that simple texts are used in general. For example; “A dog looking in a mirror sees a cat.” or “A small cactus in the Sahara Desert wearing a straw hat and neon sunglasses.” Simple sentences like these have yielded very successful results.
By the way, Google Imagen, while impressive, is not a world first. There will be those who know; The artificial intelligence company OpenAI had released an artificial intelligence tool called “DALL-E”. Just like Google Imagen, this artificial intelligence, which is used to transform texts into images, attracted a lot of attention even when it was in beta, and this tool was on the agenda in social media. Google Imagen has emerged as a complete competitor of DALL-E…
