Hundreds of apps like ChatGPT have been removed
Apple had previously removed about 30,000 games from the Chinese App Store, followed by more than 94,000 apps, and subsequently 44,000 games, which China said did not have the correct licenses. The company has now removed more than 100 applications containing artificial intelligence services like ChatGPT. Apple has notified developers that the apps contain illegal content in China.
China does not find AI applications safe
The Chinese government is asking companies to be extremely careful about AI-generated content. The country’s regulatory bodies say content must be healthy and adhere to core socialist values. In addition, it is requested not to produce any fake and misleading content, and not to produce any content that puts national security at risk. China also has concerns that artificial intelligence could be used to create deepfake videos.
