ARM, whose sales talks with Nvidia fell through, is preparing for austerity. Rooftop firm Japanese SoftBank wants to make the company look more profitable and attractive to investors before it is re-listed.
ARM is getting smaller
ARM was also in trouble after the $40 billion sales call with Nvidia was negative. The Japanese SoftBank, which suffered a great loss from the WeWork initiative, also decided to downsize after being disappointed with the sale of ARM.

ARM, which has 6500 employees in total, will shrink by around 15 percent. It has been stated that approximately 1000 people working in the USA and England will be laid off in the coming months, and informative e-mails have been sent.
There is no information yet on which parts the reductions will affect. It is a matter of curiosity whether there will be a disruption in the development of new generation processors and graphics units. Especially in the new investment periods of chip giants, new job opportunities may arise for engineers.
