Who doesn’t love April 1st, when the worst jokes are made every year? It seems like this historic tech world likes it a lot, too. Many technology companies “introduced” special products for April 1 and showed their creativity. While they’re all pretty ridiculous, some of them could obviously be bought if they were a real product.
ASUS ROG Ally
Frankly, this year’s best tech prank may have come from Asus. ASUS ROG Ally was announced as the company’s first and only handheld console. The device, which comes with a custom-made AMD Ryzen APU, runs Windows and supports different gaming platforms. The Full HD display and powerful hardware are kept cool with a dual fan cooling. On the GPU side, the ROG XG Mobile eGPU will bring this device to life, and the supposed performance is at the level of the RTX 4090.
Sapphire Top RX 7999 XTT Mega
The popular video card manufacturer Sapphire also did not pass the 1st of April. The announced Top RX 7999 XTT Mega graphics card is literally crazy. Gaming experience for 14K and beyond with 100GB of GDDR0401 memory.
NZXT’s first graphics card
NZXT is a brand known mostly for PC cases or CPU liquid coolers, and there have been rumors that the company will actually enter the graphics card market. These rumors are undoubtedly great references for April 1. NZXT, of course, did not back down this opportunity and shared the image of the first graphics card saying “soon”. The only problem is that the image was made by an artificial intelligence.
Completely silent fanless fan
Probably what all gamers and fans want is no sound from the fans. BeQuiet has announced Zero Wings AI fans for just that, and yes, it has also released a completely real press release. This fan without blades promises interactive use by utilizing FANOS AI technology that controls fan speed and airflow.
Cat bed from Gigabyte
Cats like to sleep in warm places, so they often snuggle around their computer case while playing games. Gigabyte, with its announced Aorus Cat Master, offers your cat a nice bed on top of your crate, while enhancing cosmetics with RGP lighting.
Gaming mouse with shaver from Razer
Many e-athletes spend most of their day with intense training and cannot spare time for personal care. Razer, the new gaming mouse introduced by Razer, aims to make a difference with its built-in razor/shaver. Featuring Razer Chroma RGB, Razer Razer uses 1,337 microblades to provide a clean shave even on the most sensitive skin. Meanwhile, according to Razer, subjects experienced a 69% performance boost in games after using the Razer Razer. However, this may be a marketing rhetoric.
For those looking for an old-school PC case
Silverstone introduced the SST-FLP01-W and SST-FLP01-B cases, which pay homage to the PC cases of the 90s. Although Silverstone describes the case as white, the case is more of an old-fashioned beige color. Yes, there’s even a Turbo button on the case. SST-FLP01-W is compatible with Micro ATX, ATX and even SSI-CEB motherboards. Moreover, there are two 5.25 inch floppy disk slots in the products. If the original Doom is in a corner of your dusty shelves, this is an opportunity not to be missed.
MSI energy drink
If there’s one thing MSI still hasn’t done, it’s probably something to beat. MSI wants gamers to feel energized during long gaming sessions with a sugar-free energy drink for ‘real gaming’. Unfortunately, MSI did not share which flavors the drink is available in. But the ad claims to be cooling and refreshing. Obviously for some products users may want it to be genuine. Especially Silverstone’s cases look great.
