When Apple introduced new smartphone models in September, the two most prominent models were the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. Standing out with both its performance and design, the iPhone 14 Pro models overshadowed the standard versions. Despite its superior performance, it has been claimed that the iPhone 14 Pro is still not what Apple imagined.
iPhone 14 Pro could come with a better graphics processor
The iPhone 14 Pro models are home to Apple’s latest A16 Bionic processors. It is claimed that the A16, which is described as the best processor in the smartphone market, can be better despite all this.
According to the information received, Apple had designed a much more powerful and capable graphics card to be used with the A16 Bionic processor. It was revealed much later that this graphics card, which will host many different features, including the ‘ray tracing’ feature that will increase the image quality and realism, negatively affects the power usage and heat management of the device.
Unfortunately, Apple discovered this issue at the final stage of development for the device. As such, it is stated that the US company had to return to the A15 chip used in the iPhone 13 models for the graphics processor of the new generation phone. This is also an explanation of the fact that the iPhone 14 Pro did not experience a significant increase in graphics performance compared to previous generations.
It is stated that Apple reviewed the graphics processor team on all these developments and removed some managers from the project. The company has lost many important employees due to the disruptions experienced recently. It is also possible to say that Apple has lost an important talent pool in design and development since 2019.
Despite all these negativities, the iPhone 14 Pro has achieved great success with its features. We cannot help but wonder how the smartphone will perform with the designed graphics processor.
