We know that Apple has rolled up its sleeves for the gaming industry, especially with its Apple Arcade subscription service. It seems that the company’s vision for games is even broader. According to a patent that has emerged, Apple is developing a product for mobile games.

Apple’s own ‘game controller’ patent
These patents for game controllers were filed last week by the US Patent and Trademark Office and European Patent Office at Apple. was given to The patents are actually still in the experimental stages as the illustrations show different types of game controllers. The first patent was issued on March 31, and the second on April 10.
In one of the concepts researched by Apple’s engineering team, the company designed an accessory similar to the Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con. This model can be compatible with both iPhone and iPad in portrait or landscape orientation.
The second alternative is specially designed for the iPhone and can be used as a foldable case with the buttons inside. Additionally, the case will also have a small built-in display to show extra game content and even the touch keyboard.
Finally, there’s one in the patents that has a more classic joystick look. This will be interoperable with all Apple devices like iPhone, iPad and Mac via Bluetooth and will have dedicated keypads to activate a game mode on the device or even answer a call while playing.
