Apple, the biggest name in the smartphone world, continues to attract great attention with the iPhone 14 series. On the other hand, the majority of the company’s production line is located in China. It seems that Apple is uncomfortable with this situation.

Apple will turn its main production site to Thailand for up to 5 years

Continuing its success with the iPhone 14 series, the company is dependent on China when it comes to production. In particular, Apple, which has an important cooperation with Foxconn, continues to work to reduce this dependence for main production.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, known for Apple news, shared new details about the company’s non-Chinese production. Accordingly, Apple will completely turn its direction to Thailand in 3 to 5 years for main production. Additionally, the company is expected to increase the production percentages of Tata Group in India and its contract manufacturers Pegatron or Wistron.

On the other hand, Apple has a large market in China. So much so that the technology giant is at the top of smartphone sales in China, where there is fierce competition. Although Apple wants to break the ties with the country in production, it wants the production for China to continue. In other words, the current largest production channel Foxconn will produce only for China in the long run.

Although Apple directs the production line, it is very troubled with its current employees. The company has faced off against its employees many times in recent months. So much so that while it was downsizing in some departments, it aggravated the working conditions in many regions. This triggered many strikes. Finally, Apple employees in Australia will hold a work stoppage in the coming days.
