Apple is developing an application that will increase its impact on users. A new diary app called Jurassic will track users’ notes, both physically and mentally. Jurassic, which is expected to come with iOS 17, will offer personalized recommendations.

Native diary app coming with iOS 17

According to a new report in the Wall Street Journal, Apple may introduce an app that allows journaling in iOS 17. Codenamed “Jurassic”, the app will allow its users to regularly record their thoughts and activities. In this way, the mental and physical health of iPad and iPhone owners will be monitored.

The Jurassic app, which will be natively available in iOS 17, will access personal data in addition to the user’s notes. For example, he will follow up on SMS to get to know his work and daily friends. It will pull data from the fitness app on the Apple Watch.

However, all of this data will be processed on the device and only the general health of the user will be monitored. Journaling suggestions will be retained for four weeks before being deleted.

We expect iOS 17 and new features to be announced during the Worldwide Developers Conference 23 (WWDC) in June. However, it should be reminded that the company has not made a statement regarding this application.

The new app suggests Apple will compete directly with third-party logging apps. Paul Mayne, founder of the diary app Day One, voiced his concerns, saying that Apple would hit developers.
