Apple, which has added to its product range in the past months, has brought the Plus model back to the iPhone series on the smartphone side. In smart watches, it introduced a version that appeals to professional athletes, called Watch Ultra, alongside the Watch 8 and Watch SE. Today, it has expanded the capabilities of the Watch Ultra models with the application called Oceanic+, which it has launched.

In normal use, Apple Watch Ultra can show several different data such as underwater depth and instantaneous temperature values. However, this was not enough for those who would dive more professionally rather than amateurs. This is where Oceanic+ fills the void.

Mike Huish, founder and CEO of Huish Outdoors

Developed in collaboration with Huish Outdoors and Apple, the Oceanic+ application allows recreational divers to use their Watch Ultra watches for professional diving as well. Because, thanks to the capabilities of the application, the watch on your wrist instantly turns into an easy-to-use dive computer.

With this application, you can now dive up to 40 meters and avoid gas embolism, which is known as a hoarse or decompression sickness, as a result of the formation of gas bubbles in the body due to passing from a high pressure area to a low pressure area in a short time.

Mike Huish, founder and CEO of Huish Outdoors, said:

“At Huish Outdoors, we aim to ignite people’s adventurous spirit. Oceanic+ on the Apple Watch Ultra represents one of the biggest innovations the diving industry has faced in a long time. We create an accessible, shareable and better diving experience for everyone.”
