71 While Raylene Hackenwerth, aged 13, doesn’t remember what happened just before she fell, she considers herself lucky to be wearing an Apple Watch when she fell. Because Raylene’s fall triggered the watch to call emergency services, and the watch shared a text message with her exact coordinates with emergency services. Paramedics were able to reach Raylene, who was nearly unconscious at the time, within minutes and quickly rushed her to the hospital. Also, when Raylene Hackenwerth fell, her son Jason Hackenwerth received a text message from Raylene’s Apple Watch stating that his mother had fallen. Jason said he wasn’t aware of the Apple Watch’s emergency features, but was happy that he chose to gift the watch to his mother.
