Why did the Apple Watch 7 explode?
An Apple Watch Series 7 user claimed that his device exploded after it started to overheat and smoke. While this situation is shared with Apple, it is stated that the company will investigate the cause of the explosion of the smart watch. On the other hand, it was stated that Apple wanted the smart watch user to remain silent during this process.
Making a statement to 9to5Mac, the Apple user stated that his smart watch was getting hotter than normal. Noting that the back of the watch cracked one day, the user says that the smart watch gave a warning that it should be turned off due to temperature. The Watch 7 user underlines that the room temperature is about 21 degrees in this process.
After this situation, the smart watch user, who contacted Apple, stated that he did not get the attention he wanted. Stating that he did not receive any solution or advice during this call, the user stated that the person on the phone only instructed him not to touch the watch until he heard from the company.
The next day, however, the situation took a turn for the worse. Stating that his smart watch was hot to the touch when he woke up in the morning, the user claimed that the screen was shattered by the heat. The user states that when he picks up the watch to take a photo, there are ‘cracking’ sounds from the watch, and then the watch ‘explodes’ when throwing it out the window.
While it was determined that the Apple-signed smart watch left burn marks on the user’s seat, the user stated that he contacted Apple again. While it is stated that this event will be examined by Apple as a priority, it is stated that the Apple Watch 7 was taken to the laboratory for detailed examination.
