Feature he never thought to use, saved his life
According to a new report from the BBC, the Apple Watch that he wore saved the life of an individual named Adam Croft. In the interview, Croft said that he got up from the couch and felt a little dizzy but felt the world shut down when he went to the kitchen to get water.
Croft, who then managed to lie down on the floor, went to his bed and lay down because he was in a cold sweat. But when Croft woke up the next morning, he found alerts on his Apple Watch warning him that the device had detected atrial fibrillation. Apple Watch then called emergency services, instructing him to go to the hospital within an hour.
In the continuation of the interview, he said that he had small-scale heart palpitations that his watch had not detected before, but that these had not been for months. After tests confirmed atrial fibrillation, doctors gave Croft blood thinners.
