Apple announced hardware upgrades as well as a lot of software at its WWDC event in June. The product that attracted the most attention at this event was undoubtedly the announcement of the highly anticipated Vision Pro mixed reality glasses. However, Vision Pro’s screen refresh rates may be insufficient despite its superior features.

Vision Pro will run at 90Hz most of the time and sometimes 100Hz

Vision Pro has a very powerful platform and dual 4K displays in terms of hardware. The Vision Pro, the company’s first major product since the launch of the Apple Watch in 2015, will debut early next year with a price tag of $3,499. However, Apple has already sent the Vision Pro’s Developer Kits to developers. According to DuanRui, who shared the information obtained from these kits, the Vision Pro screen refresh rate is set to 90Hz by default, and this rate can go up to 100Hz depending on the content.

Apart from that, the leak also includes information about the panel designed by Sony for the Vision Pro. Accordingly, it is seen that the head will have a brightness of up to 5000 nits throughout the 1.42-inch screen. To compare the information, the screen of Meta Quest 3 will have a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 4128 x 2208 pixels. However, the Quest 3’s maximum brightness is expected to be around 100 nits.
