Sensor Tower portal conducted a research on the costs of iOS and Android users on applications. Analysts estimate that developers of the top 100 subscription apps on the App Store generated $13.5 billion in revenue for the full year 2021. For comparison, the same TOP 100 apps on Google Play only brought their publishers $4.8 billion.
From these data, we can conclude that Apple technology users are more willing to pay for additional application functions. Notably, App Store user spending rose 31% year-on-year, while Google Pay was up 78%.
Top-grossing subscription apps include apps like YouTube, Tinder, Google One, and Piccoma.
