How to update MagSafe?
MagSafe wireless powerbanks were able to supply up to 5 W until now. However, this situation changes with the coming update. With a software update released by the company this week, you will now be able to reach a charging power of 7.5 W. In this way, supported iPhone models will now charge faster.
For your wireless charger to reach 7.5 W charging power You need to update the firmware version of your MagSafe batteries to 2.7. In the guidelines on its website, Apple stated that the fastest way to update the software is to use a Mac or iPad.
To do this, you need to plug one end of the Lightning-to-USB cable into the Lightning connector on your battery pack and the other end into your Mac or iPad. It has been announced that this process will be completed in about five minutes.
After performing the process, you can check that the update is complete on your iPhone by going to Settings, then General > About > MagSafe Battery Pack. At this stage, the software version should appear as 2.7.
