Apple announced numerous new products at its Peek Performance event on March 8, while also promoting two new iMovie moviemaking features. According to the information on the official website of the Cupertinolu company, these innovations will be available in April.

Magic Movie

Magic Movie edits your videos with just a few taps, turning them into movies of different styles with titles, transitions and even music. When you select a media file or album from your library, Magic Movie identifies the best parts of those images and creates an automatically edited movie from them. Moreover, you can choose the style of your movie by choosing one of 20 different styles.

You can easily reorder or delete clips from a simplified list of your footage. You can also edit all the other details with the tools available for shortening, splitting, and more. One of the most notable features of Magic Movie is the dynamic rearrangement of your music according to the length of your project.

Picture Sketches

Picture Sketches allow you to learn the intricacies of video storytelling and further develop your skills. It is possible to get help from ready-made video drafts that will guide you through the filmmaking process. You can choose from 20 different storyboards for popular genres such as Recipes, Product Reviews, or Scientific Experiments.

Each storyboard has a shot list with examples to guide you through many things like shooting, editing clips, and learning about different story structures. To share your storyboard video on social media, you can easily save it to your Photos library or send it directly to your friends via Messages or Mail.

iMovie was first released for the Mac platform in 1999. The app came to iPhone in 2010 and iPad in 2011. Anyone who owns an Apple device has the opportunity to use iMovie for free. The app is positioned as the entry-level counterpart to Final Cut Pro, Apple’s professional video editing software.
