Taiwan’s Foxconn has already been granted a license to build a $270 million facility in Vietnam to manufacture MacBooks and iPads. Judging by the information conveyed, the new factory will be located in Bac Giang province in the north of Vietnam.
Apple seeks to reduce its dependence on China
The facility is expected to produce eight million laptops and tablets annually. Recently, Apple has been trying to quickly reduce its dependence on China by establishing production facilities outside of China for all its major product lines.
