US-based technology giant Apple has been on the agenda for a while with the upcoming iPhone 15 family. While the allegations continued to boil, it was said that Apple would switch to a “new” technology in this series. Allegedly, the iPhone 15 Pro would not have physical buttons. Instead, the brand would use the ‘taptic’ technology that evokes the sense of touch that we see on the home screen of the iPhone 7 and 8. One of the names who said this was Ming-Chi Kuo, an experienced Apple analyst.
However, Kuo made a new statement that denied himself. According to the Apple analyst, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have physical keys just like the iPhone 14 family. So why did Apple make such a decision?
The reason for reverting to physical keys is possible supply issues
According to Ming-Chi Kuo’s statement, Apple had to give up because it could not overcome its supply problems. Interestingly, two analysts, Jeff Pu and Shelly Chou, from a Hong Kong-based investment firm, are of a similar opinion.
Apple needs to use a piece called Taptic Engine in order to experience the real button feel. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, Cirrus Logic and AAC Technologies, known as the two major suppliers of this part, are not in a position to fulfill orders. However, the experienced Apple analyst says Apple still has a little more time to make a final decision. In other words, Apple may be the guest of our news with this issue in the coming days.
