It turned out that Apple, which announced the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M2 processors at the WWDC 2022 event held in June of this year, accelerated its work for new MacBooks. Allegedly, MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors may be introduced this fall.
M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pros will be the last bomb of the year
More capable M2 processors could be announced at an event this fall, according to the latest report by Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman. We expect the launch to be marked by the iPhone 14 series, but the M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pros cannot be ignored either.
Apple, which opened the door of the M2 processor series in June, has finally accelerated its work for the M2 Pro and M2 Max. According to Gurman’s claim, we will see two 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros at the autumn event. These models will be the predecessors of the MacBooks with the M1 Pro and M1 Max.
We’ve seen Apple opt for MagSafe charging support, more ports, and better displays over the two 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros last year. Because of this, the new MacBook Pro will be roughly the same in terms of design and features.
According to Mark Gurman’s claim, the main change in the new generation MacBooks will be kept on the M2 Pro and M2 Max. This naturally means that we will see more powerful MacBook Pros than both the M1 Pro and Max, as well as the M2.
The biggest speed difference seen on the M2 MacBook Air and its M1 predecessor was on the GPU side. However, it should be noted that in general, it gives better results in each item. Moreover, there has been no feedback about heating problems so far.
While the new M2 MacBooks will be announced this fall, sales may be delayed due to ongoing supply chain issues. The new models are expected to go on sale between fall 2022 and spring 2023.
