The company has decided to restrict the use of NFT as it cuts 30% from in-app purchases.

The California-based company charges up to 30% on all purchases made in the App Store.

The fact that some applications are out of this using NFT has alarmed Apple.

In the update made by the company, it was stated that NFTs containing “other external links that direct customers to purchasing mechanisms other than in-app purchases” are restricted.

According to Apple’s update, apps can print, list or export NFTs. However, it cannot use NFTs to unlock additional features and functionality.

Adding additional functionality and features to NFTs is seen as a way to increase the value of the asset. For this reason, developers are making an effort to be more creative with NFTs.

Apple has previously been heavily criticized for wanting to take 30% commission on NFT transactions. If users want to release NFT from marketplaces like OpenSea or Magic Eden, they can do so much cheaper over the web.
