Google’s Pixel Tablet is launched. But the keyboard or pen didn’t even come as an additional purchase on this tablet. Google’s stance is considered odd in today’s world where tablets offer them as routine options. But today’s news showed that Google has plans in this regard. Google pen and keyboard coming?
Will Google pen and keyboard launch?
Today, new evidence has shown that Google is actually working towards releasing a first-party keyboard and stylus for the Pixel tablet. This incident was discovered by a developer at a URL that points to the latest version of the Pixel Retail Demo app, which is used to lock devices in retail stores and showcase various features of the device it’s running on.
The latest version of this retail demo app was released on June 21. It turns out that this version contains the strings directly called “Keyboard for Pixel Tablet” and “Pen for Pixel Tablet”. It was seen that there was no additional information about accessories in the application. However, this incident proves that Google is trying to do this job.
While additional details such as images of the accessories, pricing or release date have not been observed, it seems that Google is working on a launch as recently as last month. Perhaps these two accessories will be announced in the coming days.
The fact that these strings are found in an app used to showcase features in a store strongly indicates that Google wants to showcase the possible stylus and keyboard in these stores. When you add to this the Pixel Tablet’s official specs list supports USI 2.0 stylus pens, and the improvements in stylus and keyboard support added in Android 14, the picture becomes even clearer.
