Apple’s music subscription service, Apple Music, is coming to game consoles. In particular, some information that emerged last week gave the news that the application was developed for game consoles. Although the application is listed for game consoles, it is not yet available for download.
Apple Music is coming to game consoles
Apple TV+ has already been released for consoles. In addition, a new competitor emerges for Spotify, which has been on consoles for a long time. Apple Music was first discovered by users last week. Apple’s music service appeared on PS5 as a music streaming option alongside Spotify. However, users trying to download the application encountered an error.
In the previous PS5 presentation, it was informed that Spotify can be used in the background while playing games. The same goes for Xbox’s next-gen consoles. As the power of the consoles increases, they can perform different operations with the game. One of them is listening to music in the background.
Apple Music kind of winked at consoles by appearing in the music streaming section. Although the promotion page of Apple Music states, “You can use Apple Music on many popular devices, smart TVs, and game consoles if they support the Apple Music app,” this phrase was later changed. The game consoles are not yet highlighted on the demo page. Most likely Apple is trying to keep this a secret.
Although the phrase on the page does not tell us which consoles support Apple Music, it will most likely come for 8th and 9th generation consoles.
