Apple Music, the second largest music playback service in the industry, has a catalog that hosts millions of tracks. However, Apple did not want to lose the classical music genre in this catalog and developed a separate application.

What is Apple Music Classical?

Apple Music Classical app caters to classical music fans. It uses the infrastructure of the Primephonic music service, which was purchased in 2021 and later shut down. In total, Apple offers more than 5 million classical music tracks, and the library will be constantly replenished.

Lossless sound quality up to 192 kHz/24 bit, hundreds of tracks that support spatial sound, and thousands of application-specific classical music albums will be available to users. There will also be written content such as the life of the composers, the narration of their work, and different guides.

The Apple Music Classical app will be available for download on March 28 for iPhone models with iOS 15.4 and later. Pre-registration has started. Android app will come later. Apple Music subscribers do not need to take any further action.
