One of the biggest rumors about Apple’s iOS 17 plans is that apps can be installed from different third-party app stores besides the official store. The company will need to support different platforms for iOS devices as the EU’s Digital Markets Act comes into effect in 2022.
We know this is exciting for many iOS users who have been addicted to Appe’s own App Store since day one. But there may also be some bad news hidden in it. Apple may only offer third-party support to iOS devices in Europe, and users in other parts of the world may not have this feature. This is because the law only applies in the EU. Apple is expected to introduce this new feature of iOS 17 during its WWDC 2023 event on June 5th. Then we will be able to learn the answers to all these riddles clearly.
